It seems like you're experiencing shortness of breath after pushing your limits during a trek, along with symptoms of delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). While DOMS can cause muscle pain and stiffness, difficulty breathing is not a common symptom associated with it. It's possible that you're experiencing some form of fatigue or stress due to overexertion. However, shortness of breath, especially when persistent, should not be ignored as it could indicate other issues like dehydration, anxiety, or even cardiovascular concerns.
I recommend you rest, stay hydrated, and avoid any strenuous activity for a while. However, given your symptoms of breathing difficulty, it's crucial to get a thorough evaluation to rule out any serious underlying conditions, such as a respiratory issue or a cardiac problem.
