Shooting pain in left thigh
I experienced shooting pain on the outside of my left thigh (precisely, where wrist would touch left thigh while standing). It does not seem to be a muscle pain, and I only experience it for a second or two and then it vanishes. Had a few of these 2 second episodes yesterday night, and then experienced a couple of these today afternoon. The pain is not related to my movement, also there is no mole or anything which I can observe on my skin from outside. However, the pain is very sharp when it originates and that's worrisome.

If this type of pain is on the outer thigh ,most likely is due to a condition called meralgia paresthetica where a cutaneous nerve of the thigh is under pressure like tight cloths ,tight belt etc. The condition will resolve on its own,and may recur once in a while.

It appears that you are experiencing sharp shooting pain on the outer part of your left thigh, which comes and goes in short episodes. Based on the description, this could be related to nerve compression, possibly Sciatica, which is caused by irritation or compression of the sciatic nerve. Sciatica often presents as sharp, shooting pain that radiates along the nerve’s pathway. Given that the pain is not related to your movement and there are no visible skin changes, it is less likely to be muscle or skin-related. However, to confirm the diagnosis and rule out other possibilities, such as issues with the lumbosacral spine, an MRI of the lower back might be necessary. I would recommend consulting an orthopedic specialist for further evaluation and a physical examination to determine the root cause. It seems to be Sciatica. You need to get an MRI of lumbosacral spine and visit a orthopaedician.

Kindly avoid wearing tight pants or giving much pressure over the lower body. Also we need to rule out any compression in the spine. Kindly consult an Orthopaedic surgeon.
