Sexual education to son
Hello Doctors, my son is now 10 years old and studying in class 6. He has started getting erection now and he asks my that why it happens to him and i tell him that it is normal and this is a sign that his body is functioning well . He also keep asking how we are born. I think it's high time that, i should consult with a doctor or child psychologist to answer his all sex related queries. Please advise whether should I consult or not.

You as parents can better explain to him than a doctor, .try explaining at home to him..in a brief manner..skipping the irrelevant things.

You can teach him better regarding this. You can also talk about consent and the private touches. There's nothing wrong in talking about this to your child. Its better that he learn it from you or any other responsible adult before he learns it from a source which we don't want him to use. But still if you're uncomfortable I'm sure we can help
