Apart from medicines, the Most important thing is to improve the posture and lifestyle. Even if you are in a desk based job, maintain your posture is extremely important. Try and get up from your chair every 20-25minutes and move and stretch. You need to move and stretch to help your muscles relieve stress. Exercise is also a very important part of strengthening your back. Doing exercises like yoga or core strengthening will help you improve muscle strength and improve your back pain. You need to do this regularly for a few months before you notice any difference. You can take pain killers as needed. Hope this helps Dr Vinu Raj MBBS MRCS FRCS (Trauma&Orthopaedics) Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon
