Severe Pain in heel
My mother is complaining of severe pain in right heel for last 2 weeks. Left heel has no issues and it's normal. Earlier we thought this might be due to cold weather but this is erupting now. We consulted doctor and they prescribed analgesics. She did not make any injury neither any insect bites. Kindly suggest if there could be any other possibility and we need to take any immediate action. Kindly suggest if pain killer is sufficient?

We need to understand the actual cause of her pain. Which requires a clinical examination, few blood investigations and X-ray ( if required). Generally heel pain settles with taking standard pain medication, wearing comfortable shoe wear or heel pads , doing contrast bath , reducing weight etc. if her pain is not settling with common pain medication then it’s better to have a visit to hospital for examination

Since the pain is not subsiding we need to investigate further with blood tests and xrays to find the cause. For now,  she can take otc pain meds and use soft cushioned footwear Please consult for further details
