Severe lower back pain
My husband is having severe back pain on lower back near tailbone. In this lockdown scenario, he is unable to visit any Dr. Can you provide some Dr’s number or email id so that we can consult over phone, watsapp or email. Is there any home remedies available? Can the cause of pain be identified as it is persistent since past 3-4 days. We have tried massaging and applying spray and ointment but the pain is still severe and he is unable to get up , sit, stand or move around properly. Can some Dr suggest a course of remedy or medication for pain relief. We stay in Mumbai in Borivali West - Eksar Road. Tried calling on Practo phone number and Dr. Kunal Shah, Orthoped in Kanderpada , Dahisar , who we had visited previously through Practo, but no response. Please assist urgently.

As you say, severe low back and tail bone pain ? Right. Want to ask that this pain go down the leg? As two components you are telling 1. Such severe low back pain may be due to acute disc prolapse, but if it is controlled with rest and medicine please continue that. But if not then need to go for Xray and MRI. 2. You said about tail bone pain without any injuries. In such case if low back pain reduced with medicine then use coccyx cushion whenever he sits. For medicine you can continue the medicine prescribed by Dr. Kunal Shah
Next Steps
If pain still persists then patient need radiological investigations.
Health Tips
Rest Medicine If not helpful then MRI
