Severe back pain
I hurt my back in July and since then have gone to the emergency room my family doctor a specialist and just starting physical therapy. Will be going for an MRI and two to three weeks. Question why does it take so long to make a diagnosis have not been able to work since then also in a lot of pain and all they will give me is ibuprofen and Flexeril. What if the MRI shows there's something really wrong with my back and I had to wait for months to get an answer. What should I do to speed this up

Dear sir, to give u the prognosis we need a diagnosis, what actually happened in your first episode of trauma, fracture of vertebra, muscle sprain, disc disease etc etc. We need to find a cause to your pain to find a diagnosis, The process can only speed up if you get investigated early.
Next Steps
X ray spine  (site of back with pain) AP and Lat views. CBC, ESR, CRP.
Health Tips
Avoid bending and heavy work.
