Hello,
As per your description and the assessment of your psychiatrist it does seem to be a case for Obsessive compulsive disorder, predominantly obsessions. However if the improvement is inadequate please discuss with your psychiatrist the option of adding psychological intervention to your treatment regime. It is well proven that the gold standard treatment for OCD is a combination of medication and psychological intervention. A cognitive behavior therapy or behavioral therapy will provide you a greater relief in combination with medication...
Hope this helps you. Best wishes for your health and future..
