Screws from ankle surgery visible
I am recovering from a bimalleolar ankle fracture. I had a plate put in my fibula, two screws as all my ligaments snapped and pins/screws at the bottom of my tibia. On the inside of my ankle where my tibia was operated upon, I have a white bump which is slightly painful to touch (I assume it is a screw) which is more prominent when I leave my ankle elevated and the swelling reduces. Is this normal to see for someone 9 weeks post surgery that is now in a boot PWB to see this?

Hi dear, It depends upon how critical was your surgery and also on a surgeon who dud that operation. Without having a view of your reoprts it's difficult to go straight on a decision.
Next Steps
For pain on that bump, apply ice for 10 min, thrice a day.
