Scleral lenses keratoconus
Hi, I am a 31 year old.I have been using scleral lenses for past 1 year for advance keratoconus in left eye.I use Ns 100 0.9% saline to fill my lense for insertion but for a few days now I feel my lenses are getting cloudy and foggy or there is white debris in the lens reservoir between my eye where this is liquid. Is there a need to change to the saline? If so which one is best.

Contactless spoilage is an issue with the hydrogel lenses. Spoilage can occur at some stage with complex deposits of proteins, lipids and minerals etc. This affects the transparency of the material and optical performance. There is no way to predict time of spoilage. It may occur any time during use. Please contact your doctor and discuss. Learn more from the team managing your lenses.
