Contact lenses after retinal surgery
Hi , My friend had got retinal detachment surgery with scleral buckle inserted in her eyes to prevent further detachment in June,2016. It has been a year and her vision and eyes are well only issue is she had observed an circular yellow linings around her pupil which doctor has said are surgery scars. Doctor had also told that after surgery the cornea usually gets rough and dry and is prone to easily getting scarred because of contact lenses. We wanted to know that is it safe to wear contact lenses on occasions after this kind of surgery or should we not wear lenses ever. Kindly help
