Scabies in January
My brother had scabies last October, and I also had itching from it in January. First, my thighs itched a lot at night, then it itched under my chest as well. I applied my brother's lotion which he had brought from the hospital.Itching reduced due to this, after that I was diagnosed with stone in my gallbladder and I got its surgery done, there was no itching during those days, though now it is not that itchy but I still have itching in my thighs, is that the reason?Would that scabies not have healed yet? I even had surgery done, would that cause any problem? At this time I suddenly feel cold waves in my body, suddenly on any body part.Could this be due to scabies? If yes, please tell me what I should do.

Please do not worry. Effective treatment options are available; however, management depends on the severity and extent of the condition. A detailed medical history is essential for appropriate evaluation and treatment planning. Kindly schedule an online consultation with a dermatologist for a comprehensive assessment, prescription, and further guidance.”

Hi Based on your history, I can convey that in scabies, itching is usually worse at night and even after successful treatment, itching can sometimes continue for weeks due to post-scabies but active scabies usually causes persistent intense itching or new lesions. Since you improved with treatment earlier and now only thigh itching remains, it could also be due to dry skin, friction, or post-scabies itch. Gallbladder surgery itself is unlikely to cause thigh itching. The ‘cold wave’ sensation in the body is not a typical symptom of scabies. Please check for any rashes, bumps, burrows, or whether family members are still itching. If symptoms persist, consult forproper examination and treatment.
