Hello Doctor. I appreciate you for reading my question. I am trying to lose 5kgs. If I skip all my meals and have sattu sharbat all day whenever I am hungry for 5 days, will I lose weight?

Hi Before I answer your question ask yourself will you be able to do such thing all the time for weight loss?? When you try to loos weight like this you will gain weight very fast Don't look for short cuts. Healthy eating n exercise is only way to loose weight n maintain it

Hello, Thank you for the query. Will surely help you. With some healthy lifestyle changes and proper diet, you can focus on weight loss. The current approach you are following is not sustainable and even if you lose weight it will tend to come back. You can have sattu sharbat between your meals but dont replace your main meal with it. Starvation is not the key to losing weight. 5kgs is a very easily achievable goal. These are some tips which may help you: - Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables in your diet. - Include good amount of complex carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats in your diet - Avoid consumption of added sugar which is usually present in packaged and processed foods and junk food. - Don't skip any meals and consume small and frequent meals throughout the day and maintain portion sizes. - Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. -Get yourself proper rest and sleep. Hi, Fasting or skipping meals is not the right way to lose weight.Here are a few tips that will help you:- Exercise 40-45 minutes 4-5 times a week. Eat small frequent meals every 2 -3 hours Eat protein rich diet (especially post workout, it will help in building muscle) and improve metabolism. Eat proper breakfast, as 40% of day's energy comes from breakfast. Include healthy fat in your diet like nuts - almonds and walnuts, seeds like pumpkin, watermelon, sunflower seeds, etc. Eat fiber rich diet, it will help to gain early satiety and help you feel full - include fruits and vegetables in your diet avoid junk food, oily food, processed or canned foods. Drink a glass of water every hour daily to optimally hydrate the body. Note: the given prescription can change according to different conditions.

Hi I cannot recommend you to follow any fad diet like this. Sattu is very healthy but not taking whole day. Every nutrient have their own role in body so do not emphasize only on the proteins and few vitamins. You need to follow personalized plan which will be Limited calorie plan but with superfoodz in it. And yeah you need to do some activity also  as it 70% diet and 30% activity. I can surely help you in losing weight but not without one-to-one discussion. For a while you can follow following tips which may help you to some extent 1) Drink Good amount of water. As drinking less water can lead to water retention which is one of the reason of weight gain. 2) Include fiber in your diet. For that you can eat lots of fruits and vegetables. 3) Do minimum 40 minute activity daily.As after 30 minutes our body enter fat burning zone. 4) Eat small & frequent meals. 5) You can include Green tea post lunch and post dinner. 6) Mind the portion size of whatever u eat,Don't overeat. You dont need ro starve yourself to lose weight. 5kgs is anyway very easily achievable. Short cut weight loss will remain for a short while only.
