Hello dear
Please be aware
See root canal is one of the safest procedure so it can be done easily in your father .I suggest you to go for it . however for further information you can consult me
Thanks
Root canal is generally safe and if he is having pain and swelling than there might be no need of local anaesthesia for the procedure. But if local anaesthesia is required at some point plain lignocaine without adrenaline can be used in limit if he is not allergic to it.
Next Steps
Tell your doctor about the medicines he is taking.
