I have been told to get a root canal. Can I delay it for 2 months? Also how often should we visit the dentist to avoid such situations?

This is the common blunder that the patients make. Having said that RCT is a must then postponement is not correct. It will definitely cause problems. Already your tooth is infected and would you like that infection to continue and spread as an abscess and affect the other teeth and result in the complications. So please don't wait any more .
