One question to you sir...  Would u cut your finger if it was infected.. ? Ideally a rootcanal is the best option for a tooth which is pulpally involved(infected). The idea is to conserve the natural tooth structure. At the age of 31, the alternative of an extraction is not recommended unless the tooth is non restorable.
