Sir...Wanted to know that is the root canal procedure painful during and after even?
Is it a one time few hrs process or the doc have to call the patient for 4-5 sittings?
What precautions need to be followed before and after?

Now a days with the advent of technology Root canal treatment is a painless treatment. In most cases two sitting of 45 min each suffice. Avoid chewing from the side of Root canal treated tooth. Chew from the other side till you don't get a crown for the tooth.

Root canal treatment is not a painful procedure as you will be on medication during and after that
Mostly it's a two sitting procedure but those can be more if there is any infection
You should not eat anything hard and sticky from that side
And each sitting will be for atleast 40 minutes
Do not worry it's a very simple procedure
