Was your previous root canal treatment painful??? Any treatment, whether root canal treatment or Re-RCT or extraction is supposed to be absolutely painless because these procedures are done under local anaesthesia. If the filling on the tooth that was done after the completion of root canal treatment is intact, you do not need to go for Re RCT and capping can be done. Shaping of the tooth will be done by the dentist and then an impression can be taken. Please contact your dentist for a clinical examination to evaluate the current condition of the tooth. The best options for the caps can be explained to you in detail by him. Regards.
