Root Canal complication
I have a cavity in my 7 number tooth and RCT is to be done. But, there's a wisdom tooth (8th number) behind it locked slightly into it, as you can see in the x-ray. So there's no use in doing crowning because it will break in the future if the wisdom tooth grows further. Also, the inner wall of the cavity tooth is broken so crowning is not possible on three walls, I guess. I don't want to remove any tooth surgically. I will be going to the dentist but could someone please tell me a solution. Thanks in advance!

Hello. Yes your wisdom tooth locked horizontal. And creating discomfort and cavity decay in before tooth. Still the before tooth can be saved.but extract wisdom tooth and do rct and capping for good chewing tooth.because that can be saved by treatment. Wisdomtooth has to be removed now r lateron that is of no use.

There is a cone cut in the xray. Will need a opg. To see if there s enough space for 3rd molar thats number 8 tooth to stay in place untouched. It looks like its erupted normally. Feelz like there is no need of extraction for 8. Visit a endodontist for a root canal therapy. Usually there are four walls in a tooth. If two walls are missing then u will need a orthodontic banding and then root canal completion. Restoration. Band removal. Crown preparation. Finally with a nice zirconium crown.
Health Tips
first setting u will need to reduce the height of the tooth its called occusal reduction.

Whoever gave you the advice is wrong.  Root canal treatment can be done first if you have pain now. The wisdom tooth can be removed by an expert surgeon without breaking your second molar. A crown supported by a post if necessary can be given thereafter

Hi. Your no 7 tooth requires a root canal treatment for sure. Also, a crown. I don't know who told you about there being no use of a crown, or that crowning can't be done as the tooth has only three walls. The wisdom tooth is impacted. It would be highly advisable to get it extracted, even though you don't want to. Also, it will not harm the crown as much as it will harm your tooth by being left there. So I would definitely advise a root canal with a crown on that tooth.
