Unilateral pain needs to be managed properly as the cause of pain can be due to variable reasons ranging from musculoskeletal to neuropathic. Consult a doctor before you start on anything.

If the pain was due to some muscle spasm, it would have been resolved by one week so it could be neuropathic, Vitamin B12 deficiency or Diabetes which has to be ruled out. Kindly get it evaluated.
