Hi ...
According to MRI it is full thickness tear of ACL
ACL reconstruction is not an emergency , you can go for it when you are free... It is an elective surgery... But you require reconstruction...
Till the time you go for physiotherapy in the form of hamstring strengthen exercises...

In my opinion u must go for the surgery... it's really safe and common surgery in today's time...if u will delay then more complications can come in your later age...so it's useless thinking on delaying the surgery...do it as soon as possible u can as it's a complete tear of acl and surgery followed by physiotherapy session is a must... with cold fermentation.. take care get well soon
Hello there,,,well usually partial thickness tear involving ACL respond very well to rehabilition without surgery,,,,however your report suggests a full thickness tear,,,,the problem in this scenario is you may not get a lot of pain but the stability of your knee joint is affected....the knee joint may suddenly give way...n that can cause other major problems.
Next Steps
a small arthroscopic surgical repair of ACL is required its not a major surgery,,,you are likely to be discharged in 3 days from hospital.
Health Tips
Till you visit an orthopaedic surgeon wear a enclosed knee cap for stability of your knee.
regards & take care.
Hi there...Nonsurgical management of isolated ACL tears is likely to be successful or may be indicated in patients with complete tears and no symptoms of knee instability during low-demand sports who are willing to give up high-demand sports...clinical assessment is very important... Consult nearest orthopedic surgeon they will do the needful.
Your report state that it is full thickness tear.you need clinical evaluation. Usually with complete anterior cruciate ligament there is instability in the knee that's why we advise Surgery to the patient.so if you have complete here with instability you may need a Surgery so visit the Orthopaedic surgeon near you and take his consultation on it.
Hello.,
You can delay the surgery for some time, but till that time you have to do good strengthening for your knee under physio as that is very important because without that chances of worsening the case will be even more
Next Steps
Go for theraband strengthening for quadricep and hamstring
Health Tips
Avoid roaming around without knee brace and apply ice post treatment to avoid further minor trauma
The ligament will require surgery but you can get it done after your engagement. I am persuming that there is no other problem like locking of the knee etc.
Next Steps
Do quadriceps strengthening, VMO strengthening, hamstring strengthening
