Both can be taken together, no need of a 2 hour gap. Rifagut acts inside the gut and Florachamp is a probiotic, Rifagut (rifaximin) is a gut-specific antibiotic and Florachamp is a probiotic, so they do not clash - but as a general rule it is better to keep a gap of about 2 hours between an antibiotic and a probiotic so the probiotic bacteria survive better. Rifagut 400 mg three times a day means roughly every 8 hours (for example 8 am, 4 pm, 10-11 pm), preferably after food, and yes, please complete all 3 doses daily for the full 3 days as prescribed rather than stopping early once stools settle. Keep up ORS and fluids, and take light, bland food for a few days. If you develop fever, blood or mucus in stools, severe abdominal pain, or the loose motions continue beyond 3-4 days despite treatment, please get examined in person and a stool test may be needed. You can book a consult with me on Practo if you want a proper review of the diarrhoea.ideally space the doses about 8 hours apart.
No 2 hour gap is required between Rifaximin and Florachamp take Rifaximin roughly 8 hours apart 3 times daily and follow the prescribed 3 day course unless your doctor advises otherwise.
