I m an high myopia...after retinal detachment surgery will I have same myopia power or vision ll reduced ??

Hi. If you have myopia then get your eyes examined by a retina specialist to rule out risk of retinal detachment. Good luck Dr neeraj sanduja

It all depends on the extent of detachment. In Retinal detachment surgery, either oil or gas is injected in the eye for the retina to attach back to its bed. Oil or air does alter the refractive error(number)of the eye.
Next Steps
Retinal detachment is an emergency and if operated at a very early stage, gives better prognosis.
