Related to corn on finger

Question

Asked for Female, 26 Years

My wife had something similar to corn on her finger. She went to surgeon a month back and doctor had put a small cut addressing it. But still it is paining a lot from inside even with small pressure. There is hard skin with little swell as can be seen in image. Can you please tell me what it is exactly and how should I proceed on this?
