Is he over weight? Or gaining weight very fast? Does he have any signs of any infection Is his stool large and frothy? If yes then he needs to be shown to a pediatric endocrinologist

Hi, If the baby sleeps a lot and gets up for feeding every 3 to 4 hrly that is good. If the weight gain is good no need to worry .if the feeding is poor or baby  wakes up frequently and remains irritated ,u need to start  worry about her intake of milk ,it may be insufficient. Also now you can start on complementary  feeds like smashed potatoes in dal soups or finely  cooked ( liquid consistency ) rice porridge  and rice dal khichadi ,or rice with vegetables  soup .
Next Steps
visit saroja childrens clinic website on Google, I have written more on complementary  or top feeds

If baby is feeding well, have normal weight for age and active and alert, there is nothing to worry about.

There is no harm if baby sleeps every 1 hour as long as the baby is active and playful . However a 6 month old baby does not like to sleep so much as he/ she is now able to sit and play with toys, look around and spend play time with mother and caregivers.
Next Steps
Please see if u are unknowingly giving any medicine which could be leading to drowsiness.
Health Tips
Also if child is irritable look into signs of calcium and iron deficiency.

Normally 6 month old baby sleeps for 11 to 12 hours a day. It is ok if he naps 1 or 2 hours in the afternoon. At night if your baby does not sleep continuously check if he is comfortable in the bed and also check his diet
