I get cough problem regularly, so which medicines should I take for how many days? Could it be anything serious?

There are multiple causes for cough.  You need to give more details on that.  Like when does it be more,  is it dry cough or associated with any phlegm,  is it related to the food intake,  does it increase in supine position, is it associated with wheezing or running nose etc...

Cough can be caused by multiple reasons. Varying from allergic to any lung disease... This much information is not sufficient to diagnose your problem. Few investigation might be required.

If you have cough for more than a week then get your sputum AFB done and Chest X-ray atleast to rule out tuberculosis. If not so, then you can have cough syrup 10ml thrice a day for 3 days, and let me know if anything else.
