Regarding thyronorm
Hi,
I was taking 25mcg thyronorm for the past one year since dec 2020. I missed to take medicine by the end of Dec 2021 for almost three weeks. After which I took thyroid test. TSH was 12.4.
Doctor advised me to take 50mcg.I did the same for 15-20 days.
And again I took test my TSH range has come down to 3.5 something.
But my doctor advised me to continue with same dosage 50mcg.
Doesn't it cause hyperthyroid. Pls advice.

You need to continue. 50mcg is not a high dose too. TSH has to be ideally checked only after 6 weeks. Thyroxine supplementation with the present dosage causing thyrotoxicosis is very rare.

No. Continue the same dose for . We can't stop it. Can taper down the dose and see how ur tsh respond. And 50mcg is very basic dose
