Injuries like this have muscles ruptures which take time to heal. Make him rest and start hot fomentation(sikai) If pain persist, repeat xray on 10th day with empty stomach.

How do you know that no fracture or muscle rupture without imaging. If this has been there for 10 days then better evaluate for same. Till then ask him to take maximum rest and painkillers. Thanks
