Regarding Root canal effects and Sideeff
I'm afraid of doing root canal treatment as I heard there is a lot of pain while procedure as well as after. I want to know about it. Also is it will affect bones or roots or other teeth? After doing it, should there is possibility of infection, decay again? Is there any other alternate solution instead of root canal for infected tooth?

Hello mam Root canals are not painful. It is painful in certain cases where there is a lot of infection. We always give anaesthesia before doing the treatment so that there is no pain. After the treatment we prescribe some medication so that you are comfortable even after the treatment. Root canal treatment is the safest way to save your natural teeth. In this, the infected nerve of the teeth is cleaned and sterilized so that no infection occurs. Then this empty area inside is filled with a material which is known as gutta-percha. There reason for placing this material is to seal the area so that it cannot be infected again ever in future. It helps to heal the bone and keeps teeth painless. This basically means that your tooth would be dead but completely functional. If you undergo root canal treatment the infection would not spread further. So if you have been advised please undergo without any hesitation. The alternative treatment is the tooth removal. But I would personally advise to retain your natural one. Hope this helps.
