My doctor has prescribed it for ocd,depression,anxiety...but i have heard that escitalopram causes Qt prolongation...i m very much afraid bcz of that and bcz of that I have not been taking rexipra 10mg...does it cause Qt prolongation and abnormal heart rhythm???plz reply me

Generally SSRIs or the second generation of antidepressants are safer than the first generation of drugs.
Drugs have different drug adverse profiles.
Also depends on what dose the drug is being administered.
Medical evaluation is needed including ECG if something suggests about the cardiac symptoms.
But still Escitalopram is safer and generally such symptoms are not reported in therapeutic doses.
