Regarding removing the rod placed in leg
My husband had a fracture in the right leg 3 years back n he was operated n a cadmium rod was put in his leg Now my question is shud it be removed r is it ok if it is left in the body

There is no such metal as Cadmium . Implants are surgery SS, Titanium or Biocomposite materials.

Seems to be united. Can be removed but do know pro's and cons. Discuss with operating orthopaedician

Send the latest digital X-ray reports and films photo most probably fracture has joined if confirmed by X-ray report it can be safely removed or consult me thru practo
