Your concern is valid. A pulse rate reaching 160–165 bpm during exercise can be normal depending on your fitness level, hydration, and target heart rate zone (for age 29, the safe upper limit is around 190 bpm). However, since you now feel fatigue and chest strain earlier than before, this may indicate overtraining, dehydration, low electrolytes, or early cardiac strain — not something to ignore.
Here’s what you should do:
Avoid pushing your heart rate beyond 85% of your max (around 160 bpm) until evaluated.
Ensure proper hydration and electrolyte balance before workouts.
Get an ECG, echocardiogram, and TMT (stress test) to rule out cardiac or rhythm issues.
