Yes, it can be normal — but it's on the higher end of normal formula intake. General Formula Feeding Guideline (0–6 months): 150–200 ml of formula per kg of body weight per day
Next Steps
Possible Reasons for Frequent Hunger: 1. Growth spurt (common at 3 months) 2. Comfort feeding – some babies suck not from hunger but for soothing 3. Incorrect formula dilution – make sure it's being prepared exactly as per label 4. Underlying reflux or digestion issues – rule out if baby is irritable or vomiting often
Health Tips
What You Can Do: Burp well after every feed Watch cues – don’t feed just by clock; ensure baby shows real hunger signs Discuss with pediatrician – especially if baby’s weight is increasing very rapidly or he seems uncomfortable --- 💬 Final Reassurance: You’re doing a great job watching closely. It may not be "too much" milk if baby’s weight gain, sleep, and diaper output are normal. But since he's above 1.2L/day, it’s smart to check in with your pediatrician just to rule out overfeeding or underlying issues.

It is totally normal for some baby’s to have that kind of feeding, every baby is not same in everyway around and that’s the universal law But if you want for your satisfaction than consult a paediatrician otherwise not needed

It is o.k. A baby never overfeeds. If he is not underweight, is playful, nothing to worry. But  if doubt, consult a pediatrician physically for evaluation of the baby.

Hi, The amount consumed is slightly higher as per age than what is normally recommended but more details required for an opinion. Please add more details. Weight of the baby? Why was the baby put on formula milk? Feeding frequency? Frequency of urination ? Any problematic symptoms? Please connect for the same. You can also consult the Pediatrician who prescribed formula milk.
