First of all I must compliment you that you can recognise a flying bat in the night .  From your description there is no need for Anti-rabies vaccine.

It’s understandable to be concerned after an encounter with a bat. Given that you didn’t find any scratches and didn’t experience any burning sensation when applying Dettol, the risk of rabies transmission seems low. However, bats are known carriers of rabies, and it’s important to be cautious. Since you’ve already received three doses of the intramuscular rabies vaccine in August, you have some level of protection. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that if there’s any potential exposure to rabies, it’s best to consult a healthcare professional immediately12. They can assess whether you need a booster dose or any additional treatment. In your case, it might be wise to contact your healthcare provider to discuss the incident and get personalized advice. They can help determine if any further action is necessary based on your vaccination history and the specifics of the encounter. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
