Bat  bite.
Hello, I was bitten by a bat in hand  25 days ago and I went  to a general physician he told me to take tetanus shot and when I asked about rabies vaccine he told bat bite doesn't require rabies vaccine in india. But now I  am a bit anxious now because of that incident. Is it true?

Bat do not usually transmit rabies But off later all mammals are found to transmit the same Rabies being an end stage disease , it is advisable to better get anti rabies vaccine if the biting animal and its activities are not traceable
