Reg: tooth extraction for diabetic
Hi My mother needs a tooth extraction due to severe infection as per one of the dentist..but my mom have sugar level random around 300. Would diabetes cause any serious troubles for healing post extraction or any further complications? And how many days pain will be there after extraction and when can a new tooth be fixed.

Hello You need to get physician consent for extraction as sugar level is on a higher side before getting it done.your dentist will extract your teeth under proper antibiotic coverage to avoid post-op infection. The socket closes in a month's time and post op pain usually occurs for a few days .the new tooth can be placed once the socket closes completely.
