Hello , please suggest remedy for a red, inflamed bump in the pubic area with a dark centre which I feel is due to ingrown hair

Sounds like folliculitis. It is common in pubic area... especially with those who shave. Need not to worry...This can easily be treated with careful medication...but please do not try to self medicate as that can cause proboems

Hello 👋 Detailed history and examination along with pictures are needed for further evaluation and management Depending on site and severity of condition treatment can be started accordingly Erythematous inflamed bump can be due to various causes like unknown insect bite, cystic, furuncle, carbuncle or folliculitis Initially causes should be ruled out Various treatment modalities are available

If the furuncle is red , painful and swelled you should consult a dermatologist for oral prescription. As of now you can apply topical antibiotic with cold compresses to settle down inflammation
