Recurring infection in toes and fingers
I have this recurring infection in toes and fingers specifically during summer.. It starts like small bubbles in between toes, then the skin cracks and looks whitish like in the pic and it irritates a lot. Then skin peels of completely like the red spot in the pic and hurts a lot. Please give a prescription to stop this.

Hi there... The diagnosis is fairly easy... An intertrigo with a Tinea Pedis infection. There are multiple factors that need to be addressed to prevent recurrences. For a prescription, one will have to directly consult a Qualified Dermatologist. Kindly consider connecting via this App's INSTANT ONLINE Consultation 🙏 Apollo 24/7 is another app linked to this Practo that you can also use to link up. Will ensure this is cleared and doesn't recur.

• This appears to be recurrent fungal infection (tinea pedis/athlete’s foot) • The cycle of small blisters → whitish soggy skin → cracks and peeling is typical • Recurrence is common if fungus is not completely eradicated or moisture persists Next Steps • Start a proper full-course antifungal treatment (topical ± oral depending on severity) • Treat both feet and even nearby areas to prevent spread • Since it is recurrent, you may need a longer duration and maintenance therapy Helpful Tips / Words of Caution • Keep feet completely dry—especially between toes • Avoid wearing closed shoes for long hours; prefer breathable footwear • Change socks daily and avoid reusing damp footwear • Do not stop treatment as soon as symptoms improve—this is the main reason for recurrence • Avoid steroid-containing creams as they worsen fungal infections Kindly consult with me via Practo for detailed evaluation and treatment
