Recurrent fever every month
My daughter 2 yrs 12 kg get fever almost every 30-45 days for 3-4 days with no other symptoms. Fever go down by meftal, but again up in 4-5 hours. Is giving so much meftal 5 ml evry 5 hour is safe for her. Many time doc prescribed mox dry+wet syrup also. Pls help. Fever goes till 102-103 F. But she stays active most of time, but get weak with very high fever. Pls suggest some thing to increase her immunity and cause for this recurrent fever from last 3-4 months

Firstly , do not give Meftal every 5 hrly ,it's not safe . Pls give paracetamol plain Kindly get in touch with ur pediatrician , for investigating the cause of high grade fever . It's not about increasing the immunity , we need to find out the cause and treat accordingly

U shd not ignore such symptoms in kids,  we need to find out the cause??Better u consult a local pediatrician , some tests need to be done alongside proper clinical examination and plz use plain paracetamol firstly in fever not meftal

Go for some lab testing CBC,MP,WIDAL AND URINE ROUTINE EXAMINATION.

This is a fairly common condition. Children get recurrent fever till their immune systems developes properly, quite often upto the age of 5 yrs. Antibiotic does not help. There is no specific treatment. Do not worry.
