Good oral hygiene. Regular 6-12 monthly scaling sessions.
If your gums have receded too far they may not come back to previous levels unless u go for a gum surgery .

It is important to clinically check if you have gum pockets and the pocket depth. Depending on that there are different treatments. But if receding gums are due to a traumatic bite then treatment has to be accordingly

Receeding gums are result of past experience of periodontitis.It is good that you have got your oral prophylaxis done.
Next Steps
You may go for periodontal plastic surgery or prosthetic gum.
