Sorry to hear that but you don’t have to worry as its not a symptom for any serious medical condition. Tongue and lip tie in a child can be caused by a variety of factors, including: 1. Genetics: Tongue and lip ties can run in families, so there may be a genetic predisposition for these conditions. 2. Developmental factors: Sometimes, tongue and lip ties occur due to abnormal development of the frenulum (the tissue that connects the tongue or lip to the mouth) during fetal development. 3. Injury or trauma: Trauma to the mouth area during birth or early childhood can sometimes cause tongue or lip ties to develop or become more pronounced. 4. Environmental factors: Certain environmental factors or habits, such as prolonged bottle-feeding or pacifier use, may contribute to the development of tongue or lip ties. 5. Unknown reasons: In some cases, the exact cause of tongue or lip ties may not be clear. It's important that you you consult with a dentist or a pediatric dentist if you suspect your child may have a tongue or lip tie. Treatment options, such as a frenectomy (surgical release of the frenulum), may be recommended depending on the severity of the condition and its impact on the child's oral health and development.

Hello. Sorry to hear that, I certainly understand your concerns. If frenum is too short, tight, or did not move back during development it  results in tongue /lip tie. It's not serious "if treated" 1)Trouble in speech and pronouncing certain sounds (like d, l, t, or th) 2) Difficult in sucking /Licking 3)Space in between teeth
Next Steps
We do have treatment for it, so don't worry.
Health Tips
Kindly visit nearby surgeon once for physical examination evaluation and treatment plan

No it's isnt any symptom for any condition and is completely normal . Just get frenectomy procedure done , that would be enough. Delaying tongue tie treatment might cause restricted tongue movement which inturn may lead to speech problems, So it's better if it's done as early as possible.
Next Steps
consult a nearby periodontist for frenectomy procedure.
