I have multiple dental problems on left upper jaw.
My 6 was removed recently due to infection . My 5,4 were RCT ed and were brittle . Since 5,4 were too weak to support a bridge , doctors did RCT on 7,8 and now suggest to remove brittle tooth 5,4 .
Also to support the bridge , they say to do RCT on canine (3) , so they can use it for support and make bridge of 6 tooth's.
I am.bit worried about touching a good cannine tooth . It is healthy and strong . Is it compulsory to do RCT on good tooth used for bridge ?

Hi mam....
you are not supposed to remove your 4,5...get post and core treatment for 4,5...and no need to do RCT for healthy 3(canine) and do 5 unit bridge for 4,5,6,7,8

Hello , in my opinion u need not to get extracted 4,5 it possible go for post n core n takinh supportbof 3 to go for bridge , rct is not required if ur 3 is healthy untill n unless if there is pain at time of cutting .
Hello yes it is as when they take measurement for the bridge they are going to reduce the tooth and you will issues like pain and sensitivity so for the longevity of the bridge you need to go for a rct
Good morning Dear
Thanks for the query
As per your words your Dentist suggested you to remove 4,5.
In my opinion don't get them removed go for a second opinion or better go for post n core on 4 and 5 and than go with bridge...
Regarding cannine if at all its necessary to involve the Canine get it RCT treated for long term beneifit.

Health Tips
Go for a second opinion or post your x ray for better guidance..
No need to worry about it.RCT is needed to avoid future problems like sensitivity n pain.
Because crown preparation may expose the dentin.. causing sensitivity problem in most of the patients.
there is no need of extraction of them. better you show your post treatment x rays. after rct tooth become brittle its normal. i think you should consult other dentists for opinion before any decision.
