Racing thoughts and Insomnia
Racing thoughts has resulted me in lack of sleep and staying asleep, How do I calm my mind while in the bed? Also I wake up too early

Hello practo user I can understand the tough situation that you are currently facing in your life right now. It seems that there is some stress in your life personal or professional which is causing the disturbances in your sleep and racing thoughts. It is advisable that you try and induce a more healthy sleep environment which can include the following-- limit your phone time at night , don't take your work to bed , try take a warm shower , have a calming tea or warm milk , practice guided meditation and deep breathing. Also maintain a healthy and balanced diet . You can also write a thought journal in which you can mention three positive events of the day. Talk to your close family members or friends. It is suggested that you seek help from a clinical psychology for a diagnosis and formulation of a personalized treatment plan through regular counseling sessions which will help you learn positive coping strategies and skills for the same. Racing thought, disturbed sleep can be a sign of mental health problem like mood disorder and needs evaluation to rule out any serious mental health problem that require treatment. Please see a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation and further treatment. You can try certain relaxation techniques like meditation to calm your mind and help you sleep.
