Dreams are normal in REM sleep .post traumatic stress disorder can be the reason for these dreams of deceased husband.see a psychiatrist for sleep disorders
Treating a recurring dream involves Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT), addressing underlying stress, and improving sleep habits. Most experts do not use medication unless the dreams are severe nightmares linked to trauma.
Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT): Write down the recurring dream in detail while awake. Change the ending or plot to a positive or neutral outcome, then visualize this new version for a few minutes daily, especially before sleep.
Journaling and Reflection: Write out the emotions of the dream. Ask yourself what the current life situation or stress creates that exact same feeling of worry, fear, or inadequacy.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Work with a counselor to reframe stressful thought patterns or address deep-seated anxiety and past trauma that may fuel the repetitive dream.
Better Sleep Hygiene: Go to bed and wake up at the exact same time every day. Avoid heavy meals, caffeine, and alcohol close to bedtime. Reduce Screen Time: Turn off phones, tablets, and TVs at least an hour before sleep to help your brain transition into a calmer rest state.
Proper evaluation and personalised advice are needed for your concern. A detailed consultation would be best to provide accurate guidance.
