Hello. In particular it doesn't cause you swollen tonsils but it feels like tonsils are swollen as the lymph nodes are enlarged. And enlargement of lymph nodes is not a good sign.   You should get the tooth removed as it has troubled you earlier and now also it's in the same condition.   You can also share an iopa xray or any image of the area if you have.
Next Steps
You can take a 5 days course of Sensiclav CV 625mg (kindly do not take if you are allergic to.) Along with it you can take Ibugesic ASP. Both tablets to be taken BD after meals
Health Tips
Kindly ask me if you not found any medication I will tell the alternative.

Yes, decayed wisdom tooth can cause throat infection... Take Augmentin 625 for 5 days, 2 times a day and any analgesic such as Ketorol DT for pain relief You can consult an endodontist who can save your tooth doing RCT in wisdom tooth if possible if you want to save it... Otherwise you have to go for extraction...

Hello. Yes, decayed wisdom teeth do tend to cause throat infection and feel like your tonsils are swollen. You need to get your infected tooth removed because it can get worse and cause swelling on your face and also cause much severe infections. You can take a course of any basic antibiotic but I dont want to give you any specific medication without taking a proper history. If you want a specific medication pls message me.
Health Tips
DO NOT apply any hot packs on that side You can use warm salt water as a mouthwash 3-4 times per day after meals
