Query for TYPHOID Test
Hi Doctors
I went for typhoid IGM test which came as reactive and widal was also showing positive typhoid. So , I took the typhoid treatment for 14 days.
So, I just wanted to know after how much time I can again test for Typhoid IGM Test?
And for how much time after being treated for typhoid, the typhoid IGG & IGM remain positive?
Any relevant answers would be really helpful.

Repeat test is only needed if you are symptomatic

Widal test in typhoid remains positive for up to a month and so there is no need to repeat it as you will get it positive even if typhoid is cured.
We say that typhoid is cured when there is no fever for three consecutive days.
Next Steps
Take some rest and drink glucose three times a day for one week. Do not worry about the report.

No need for repeat test if you are symptomaticaly better. Just hydrate yourself well.
