Hi. You can start with braces treatment within a week after extraction as soon as your discomfort due to extraction has reduced. The duration varies in every patient depending on the case. Still average duration is a year.
Hi by this time I understand that you have already consulted an orthodontist for wgich teeth to be extracted foor creating spaces for ortho. Bracing can be as soon as all the other pre-orthodontic treatments are done like extraction Scaling etc. If you have any other concerns regarding braces you can visit us at care-dental.in or schedule an appointment with us through practo and meet us for further queries.

The orthodontist who has advised extraction of some of your teeth for braces treatment must have done so after a proper analysis of your dentition..... he or she is the best judge about the duration of bonding of the braces after the extraction..... otherwise speaking, a variable wait period of 5 to 7 days is usually given after the extraction..... Regards.....
Hello..as soon as extraction site is healed ,braces treatment can be started and braces treatment is for one to one n half year depending on the extent of tooth to be moved.
There are 2 schools of thought in your case . There are some who advice to wait for the site to heal and there are others who simultaneously continue the treatment .it all depends on the dentist and in your case Orthodontist. (MDS-Ortho). It's upto his judgement and both methods are correct .
