Hello Doctors, I had received full 5 doses of antirabies vaccine (Rabivax S), last dose on 4th October 2021. My question is after that every 3 months almost I have been taking 3 doses of boosters on 0,3,7 days as I read after 3 months one has to take 2 boosters on reexposure. I haven't got bitten but so many dogs, cats and monkeys in our locality and chances of coming in contact with their saliva on gates, objects or if we pick something from the floor concern me.
I read that for medical professionals at high risk those dealing with love virus every 6 months booster is suggested. So to remain protected do we need to take 2 boosters every six months or in a year to feel safe from unnoticed indirect exposure?
