Query about rabies
My mom got bitten by a 3-4 months dog while feeding it accidentally bitten to my moms finger and there was little blood. After that mom took titenash and then after consulting hospital doctor prescribed to take 3 doses of anti rabies. Mom took second dose on Thursday. Now today we're sharing food and I ate same food , using same spoon which may touched her tounge or saliva. So Am I also danger of rabies? Should I need to take anti rabies too?

You don’t need to worry. Rabies is transmitted through bites, scratches, or contact with infected saliva on open wounds or mucous membranes.

There is no need to worry. Rabies can only spread via infected animal saliva, not indirectly like this.

Nothing to worry as such. And no need to take the anti-rabies vaccine in this situation. Rabies is primarily transmitted through direct contact with infected saliva entering an open wound/mucous membranes(eyes, nose, mouth)/Deep bite. Sharing food, utensils, or casual contact does not transmit rabies. Since your mother is already undergoing post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) with anti-rabies doses, she is protected. Even if the puppy was infected(which is unlikely if it's healthy and growing), your mom’s saliva wud not be a risk to u.
Next Steps
When is Rabies a RISK?? If bitten or scratched by a suspected rabid animal. If infected saliva enters an open wound or directly contacts mucous membranes. What You Should Do?? No vaccine needed for you based on your described exposure. Ensure the puppy remains healthy for 2WEEKS. If the dog stays well, it means it was not rabid at the time of the bite
Health Tips
If you are still ANXIOUS,,, you can consult a family doctor , But from a medical standpoint, there is no rabies risk from sharing food/utensils. Hope this helps! thanks 🙏
