Mucus can be produced in the gut even normally or it may be swallowed from airways during cold or cough. So just seeing mucus does not indicate any disease. Most important is what are the symptoms or signs and physical check up findings. Pus is not common and so it's unlikely that child is fine and passing pus in poop. Its likely to be mucus only. Please visit a pediatrician for better guidance.
